Sergio Torres: the man who, in half a year, linked financiers and entrepreneurs for an amount of more than 30 million through the accounting packages. His weapon? A phone. Everyone knows Sergio in the office building Nest in Amstelveen. The positivist pur sang can think better when he walks. Combined with the intention to take 10,000 steps, you will encounter Sergio everywhere and nowhere in the building. Always a friendly nod and then pointing at his phone. In conversation, yes. It helps him at the end of the day to meditate and dance to clear his head.
Actually a barrel full of contradictions: Bastiaan Burgwal. Co-founder of LoanStreet. This hobby programmer has a finance degree from the UvA, but looks more like a singer songwriter than the owner of a complicated app that helps entrepreneurs get a loan faster and easier. A hard worker with a mission. His biggest task? Together with Sergio, to process all wild ideas about business finance into a simple product. He gets a lot of satisfaction from helping others. That is something that is now reflected in the LoanStreet product.
Jan-Volkert is the end boss of the development department. Always up to the challenge of turning Sergio and Bastiaan's wild ideas into a solution. Full of interest in new languages and techniques since the birth of the internet. Also fascinated in optimizing the growing of grapes with AI and a radical supporter of public open data. As a true Brabander, always up for a cup of coffee and a chat - preferably with sausage roll.
